Cooking and stuff

So, how many of you out there in cyberland enjoy the simple yet often rewarding pleasures of cooking? I know I do. I have traveled the cooking stores far and wide in my area and let me tell you, there are some pretty darn expensive pots and pans out there. That doesn't include the amenities that go with. I like to compare quality and price at several, usually three, different stores before making a purchase. I found myself searching the internet for some quick price comparison's and low and behold, what did I find? A virtual gold mine in shopping, A culinary dream stop, not only that but what appears to be my new one stop shop. car

Just washed the car. Not the green LeMans in the pics, I sold that, but my mercury marauder. Its a 2003, I got it in 2002. It is in pretty fair shape. I have always kept it in the garage at night. I have driven it in the winter but I am vigalent about washing and waxing on a regular basis so it looks good. So I just gave it a quick wash, no wax. I have been working 40 hrs lately so I have time for many things I have never before had time to do like, wash the car, clean the house, cook dinner, clean up after dinner, drink beer, Oh, Wait, I do all those things and more when Im working 60 hrs. Must be why I feal so much better these days. i hope to get back to working overtime but it doesnt look good. I work in the automotive field, and as we all know, in Michigan that market sucks. If things improve, life will be better. We are all hopeful but hopes can be fleeting at times and these times feel quite fleeting. oh well, I hope its all good for all the rest of you. Remodeling

I know it has been a long while, sorry, I have been busy with a bathroom remodeling project. I was sure it would only take one or two weekends and I was only off by two months. Not just weekends but weeknight, weekdays and very weak input. I have been working what is a large ass off. Not really, my ass is a normal size, if you are an average white boy. The redo is comming along nicely, I was interupted with the birth of my first grandchild, which I took time to go see. He is a healthy BIG baby boy. 9lbs 13ozs. Did I ever mention that my daughter and husband are both marines and veterns of foriegn wars? well they are and now they are parents too. Welcome to my world. Its a place full of small ambitions, some of which are recongnized others not so much. Worry, heartache and best of all Love. Even though it can be hard, love is the glue that binds us all in this twisted and sometimes most unpredictible world. Now my wife and I have another to consider and adorn with our time and thoughts, a small and most precious life to watch bloom and blossom like a spingtime flower only this one never stops blooming. Hopefully We will be blessed with many more grandchildren as we have four adult children. Anyhow, back to the remod. I am still working on it and my wife is comming thru the door with caulk and spackle. Back to work for me. Bye

Enough Already

Ok, so maybe I exploited the use of the "N" word. But lets be real, didn't they bury it? under a concrete slab? didn't they blame whitey for their problem? We said sorry, Isn't that good enough? when someone hurts me and apologizes, I except. Good for me, good for you, good for them. I will stop if they do. So on to more interesting stuff like, where is spring hiding? Enough of the snow already!. In case you dont know, I live in Michigan which is an old Indian word for Bad Weather. Not really, its French or something but I like my take on it better. People I work with had hopes of golfing this weekend, Not! looks like snow again. Ive about had it. Enough of the snow! And enough of these dammed speed bumps in our roads. You people would call them pot holes I call them speed bumps because they are there to slow the flood of traffic leaving this state. People cant find work here anymore and are vacating in record numbers. Enough of NAFTA already, lets have a little North American Free Trade right here in Michigan. And Enough of 700 million dollars in foreign aide ( welfare) to Africa! Enough! We could use that money right here in Michigan. But lest we forget that our fearless leader, Yes, GWB, He has authorized 300-600 dollars for you to stimulate the economy and another 47 billion in mailers to tell you how good you should feel about it. Did Kawame, our sovereign Mayor say the, "N" word? I do believe he did!. I am pretty darn sure he, The Mayor, was at the, " burial for the N word" There they were a, million men marching, well maybe 400,000 marching thru the streets of Detroit. They had their box, with the notorious "N" word inside. Now, I'm no politician but, If you are in a world of hurt from the party you say you didn't have, the stripper you say you didn't have the cops kill, the 9.5million you spent to pay the cops for firing them because they investigated these crimes, the aid who you were banging the bejesus out of, resigns. And you have a golden shovel to dig yourself out of this pile of shit you got yourself into, Do you start saying "Nigger"? On national T.V. ? In front of the whole nation, In front of the Black Mayors of America, who by the way totally dissed Detroit and had their Black convention in St. Louis? I dont think so!!! But this dumb ass did. What an Idiot! and on top of it, As an over privileged white 42 year old male who has all of Gods gifts handed to him on a silver platter just for being born white and in the good old US of A. I am pissed! I have to listen to how good I have it every day of my life as I go to work and toil away at my meaningless existence and apologize every day for the advantages that the world perceives I have because I'm white. And I dont dare say Nigger anywhere especially on the television, in public where people could hear me, or do I? If the Mayor of Detroit can, so can I. Yes I can. I feel liberated, released from my chains. Free of the discrimination. I no longer have Blackie holdin me down. I am free to say what I please I want to go to my roof top and yell, " This Honky is mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore"! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I'm not gonna take it anymore from you , you Nigger. That felt good. If the Mayor of Detroit can say it, So can I. So Thaaats how this Nigger really feels about it. Wahaooow! Who saw that? Did we just witness some major B.S. or what? I couldn't believe how well scripted that speech was. Did you notice how the camera person moved out to pan Kawamies wife? Notice how her hands were not visible at first but then were? Notice the wedding ring? See how after the Initial apology how they were holding all four hands together. The camera work was some of the most creative ever. No wonder it was a closed room. I doubt it was live. Not a bobble in their speech, no clearing of the throat, ( usually used in emotional type situations to emphasize their feelings of guilt) Also, they had very dry eyes. What woman has eyes that dry after her husband has been publicly busted boinking his staffer? Even the Ice Woman, Hillary, had a case of the red eye when Bill got busted, and he was supposedly only getting head from his nob polisher. What we have witnessed here is a classic case of, " misdirection" his vain attempt to concentrate the public's perception of this situation, to concentrate on his affair and not on the Perjury, financial cost to the tax payers, the honorable men who lost their jobs in the cover up. Or, how in the future, tax payers are going to pay for his defense. Why do tax payers pay for the defense when he chose to lie? Shouldn't he pay for it, I mean the defense money cause we all know he isn't going to jail. Not Kawami, top dog of the city. You or I, Joe worker man, taxpayer extrodenaire, low man on the totem pole. We would go to jail. We would pay for our own defense and most of all it would be the right thing.
